Kentucky Derby prospects lead 36 horses on Saturday’s work tab

It was a big day on the work tab for the barn of trainer Kenny McPeek, who had two of his top 3-year-olds on the track. Smile Happy, who won his most recent start in the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) at Churchill Downs and Tiz The Bomb, who finished second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, both worked at Gulfstream.

They were joined on the tab by Pappacap, who currently leads the 2022 Kentucky Derby points standings. Working for trainer Mark Casse, the Gun Runner colt went four furlongs in 48.6 at Fair Grounds.
